The firm was orginally known as Laing Frank and MacDonald in 1986, and was located on the 5th Floor, West Walk, West Street Durban. The 3 Partners were all university friends and were admitted as attorneys in 1985. Laing and Associates has expanded rapidly in the last 25 years to serve all sectors of South Africa’s community including corporates and has grown to be one of the larger and more diverse law firms to emerge from the disadvantaged sections of South African society.
